The Museum of Oddities
29 years of plumbing means 29 years of surprises. Here's what we've found.
The Toy Dinosaur That Clogged a Main Line
A T-Rex, specifically. About four inches long, wedged sideways in a 3-inch drain. The homeowner's kid had been "giving it a bath." The dinosaur did not survive the extraction. The drain, however, was just fine.
A Set of Car Keys. In the Sewer.
The customer had been looking for these for months. They went down the toilet — nobody knows how. We found them during a camera inspection about 40 feet from the house. Reunited and it felt so good.
Enough Hair to Knit a Sweater
We pulled a clog out of a bathtub drain that was... impressive. Years of accumulated hair, soap, and whatever else goes down a drain, compressed into a plug the size of a fist. The tub drained like new afterward.
A Family of Frogs Living in the Pipes
Arizona has some resourceful wildlife. This family found their way into a sewer cleanout and set up shop. We relocated them to the yard. They seemed unbothered by the whole ordeal.
Got a plumbing horror story? We'd love to hear it. Give us a call — or better yet, send us a photo.
This page will grow as Blake shares more stories from nearly three decades on the job. Real photos coming soon.
